Following last month's sublime slow-burner 'Ann's Jam', Seattle-based dreamers Chastity Belt have shared the second single from their forthcoming self-titled album. Produced in collaboration with fellow TMR fave Jay Som, 'Elena' is a heart-felt tribute to Italian novelist Elena Ferrante. Pairing tumbling guitar lines with hazy, layered vocals and a simple yet effective rhythm section, 'Elena' is a hypnotic piece of jangly alt-rock that's engaging enough to keep you on your toes. The band explained: "Over the past year, we all read and loved Elena Ferrante’s Neapolitan novels. We individually related to the ways in which the main character’s sense of self is inextricably linked to her desire for love and validation both from lovers and friends.
